Hon. Justice Asif KC

Justice Asif was appointed as a Judge of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands with effect from January 2024.

Justice Asif was called to the Bar in England in 1988 and took silk in 2010. His practice as a barrister largely involved professional indemnity – particularly negligence claims against lawyers, insurance and commercial liability disputes, with an additional specialisation in product liability and pharmaceutical and medically related claims. In 2014, Justice Asif relocated to the Cayman Islands, where he was a partner in the global law firm, Kobre & Kim (Cayman), undertaking commercial and financial disputes work, including trusts disputes.
